Featured Design: This buttoned cardigan, designed by Norah Gaughan and knit in elann.com Peruvian Quechua by Anne Miller, is from Vogue Knitting Magazine - Fall 2008. Clever interior shaping and curved front edges create a garment full of drape and movement. It is worked in a double cross stitch pattern that sets off the drop stitch cabled band which flows in a smooth line around the body, beginning and ending at the centre back, and which is repeated down the sleeves. In sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL (finished bust 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52"; finished length 22.5, 23, 23.5, 24, 24.5, 25"), it uses 1218, 1392, 1556, 1740, 1914, 2088 yards of aran weight (17 st/4") yarn. Anne knit our version with just 1 strand of elann.com Peruvian Quechua for a light and airy cardigan suitable for wearing indoors - works out to 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18 balls of elann.com Peruvian Quechua. We also swatched using 2 strands of elann.com Peruvian Quechua held double, this warmer, outdoor version would use 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35 balls of elann.com Peruvian Quechua.
