BACK:
NOTE: Graph A begins at the bust line of the underarm seam. The right edge of Graph A is the lower edge of the garment, and the last rows are at the center edge. Beginning at the end of row 71, bind off the stitches marked by the heavy black line to the stitches that are shown for the next row in the size you are making (a), -b), -c) or -d), being aware that the last stitch you bind off will use the first stitch of the row you will be beginning to work.
Left half of back: Using main color, a), -b), -c)& -d): cast on 6 sts. Using Graph A, work Pattern St, following dark lines for each size; a) A -b) B -c) C -d) D. The Yarn Overs and decreases on rows 39, 43, 47, 51, 55, 59, 63, and 67 are worked using one of the secondary colors, and the colors should be crossed on the wrong side of your work. After working the 80th row, slip rem a) 23 -b) 25 -c) 27 -d) 29 sts to holder.
Right half of back: NOTE: Graph B begins at the bust line of the underarm seam. The left edge of Graph B is the lower edge of the garment, and the last rows are at the center edge. Beginning at the end of row 71, bind off the stitches marked by the heavy black line to the stitches that are shown for the next row in the size you are making (a), -b), -c) or -d), being aware that the last stitch you bind off will use the first stitch of the row you will be beginning to work. Row 1 begins at the small number "1" at the left edge of the first row. This is a right side row, but read the stitches from left to right, instead of from right to left, so the pattern will be reversed correctly.
Instructions: Following Graph B instead of A, work same as right half to end of Row 80; leaving stitches on needle. Slip stitches from holder to spare needle. Using 1 strand main color, join the two pieces together, working Kitchner St over stitches on the needles, gathering in the ends of rows 78 to 80, and grafting together the stitches bound off at the beginning of rows 71, 73, and 75.

FRONT:
Using Graph A for the right half of front, and using Graph B for the left half of front, work same as the back.

FINISHING:
Carefully block all pieces using steam, without crushing or distorting the design. Sew side seams. Sew shoulder seams together at the end of rows 19, 20, 21 and 22, at the left edge of Graph B, and at the right edge of Graph A. Using color no. 10 with crochet hook, work 1 row single crochet and 1 row Backwards Crochet around armholes = a) 56 sc -b) 60 sc -c) 64 sc -d) 68 sc. Fasten off and weave in all ends. Using main color with crochet hook, forming scallops as you work 1 row single crochet and 1 row Backwards Crochet around lower edge of back and front, by using a) 142 sc -b) 158 sc -c) 174 sc -d) 190 sc. Fasten off and weave in all ends. Carefully steam the rows of crochet.
