SIZES:
a) 35" -b) 39" -c) 42.5" -d) 46.5": finished bust measurement
MATERIALS:
- a) 5 -b) 6 -c) 7 -d) 8 balls of Katia Swing.
- 3.25mm (US 3) and 3.50mm (US 4) knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
- 3.25mm (US D3) crochet hook.
- One button.
STlTCHES:
1x1 Ribbing - Row 1: * K1, P1, *; rep from * to *. Row 2: work all sts as they appear, (knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts).
Reverse Stockinette St (Rev.St.St) - purl all sts on the rows that are on the right side of your work, and knit all the sts on the rows that are on the wrong side of your work.
Crochet Chain - make a slip knot and place this on hook. * Wrap yarn over top edge of hook (YO hook), turn hook upside down to hold this loop on hook while you pull hook through loop that is already on the hook, *. Repeat from * to * for required number of stitches (do not count loop that is on the hook as a stitch.)
Single Crochet - * Put hook through stitch on base, YO hook and pull this loop through base stitch, (2 lps on hook); YO hook and pull this loop through both loops already on the hook, *; repeat from * to * (go through both back and front loops on base unless instructed otherwise.)
Backwards Crochet - on right side, work single crochet going from left to right, going into stitch to the right side of last stitch worked.
Double Garter St - Rows 1, 2 & 3: Knit. Rows 4, 5 & 6: Purl. Repeat these 6 rows for pattern.
Pattern St - see Graph A.
GAUGE:
With larger needles in Pattern St: 24 sts and 35 rows = 4x4".
BACK:
Worked horizontally, beginning at right side seam. With larger needle, cast on a), -b), -c) & -d) 57 sts. Beginning and ending with the letter A on Graph A, work 49 sts Pattern St and 8 sts Double Garter St for 2 rows. Next row (right side), working increased stitches into Pattern St, begin shaping armhole by casting on before beginning right side rows: a) 2 sts 4 times; 33 sts 1 time [98 sts] -b) 2 sts 4 times; 1 st 2 times; 34 sts 1 time [101 sts] -c) 2 sts 5 times; 1 st 3 times; 33 sts 1 time [103 sts] -d) 2 sts 4 times; 1 st 6 times; 35 sts 1 time [106 sts]. When back measures a) 16 1/8" -b) 17 3/4" -c) 18 7/8" -d) 20 1/2", shape armholes by binding off at the beginning of right side rows: a) 33 sts; 2 sts 4 times [57 sts rem] -b) 34 sts 1 time; 1 st 2 times; 2 sts 4 times [57 sts rem] -c) 33 sts 1 time; 1 st 3 times; 2 sts 5 times [57 sts rem] -d) 35 sts 1 times; 1 st 6 times; 2 sts 4 times [57 sts rem]. Work 2 rows even, then bind off.
RlGHT FRONT:
Worked horizontally beginning with center front band. With larger needle, cast on a), -b), -c) & -d) 75 sts. Work 1x1 Ribbing for 3/4". On next right side row, beginning and ending with the letter B on Graph A, work 67 sts Pattern St and 8 sts double Garter St for 2 rows. Next row (right side), working increased sts into Pattern St, begin shaping neckline by casting on before beginning right side rows: a) every 4 rows: 3 sts 1 time; 2 sts 2 times; every 2 rows; 2 sts 5 times; 3 sts 2 times [98 sts] -b) every 4 rows: 3 sts 1 time; 2 sts 2 times; every 2 rows: 2 sts 5 times; 3 sts 3 times [101 sts] -c) every 4 rows:

Work 2 rows even, then bind off.
LEFT FRONT:
Work same as right front, reversing all shaping by working increases and decreases before beginning wrong side rows.
SLEEVES:
Begin with cuff. With smaller needle, cast on a), -b), -c) & -d) 9 sts. Work Double Garter St for a) 9 7/8" -b) 10 5/8" -c) 1 0 5/8" -d) 11 3/8"; bind off. On long edge of cuff, with larger needle pick up a) 61 -b) 67 -c) 71 -d) 75 sts.
Work a)18 -b) 21 -c) 23 -d) 25 sts in Rev.St.St; a), -b), -c) & -d) beginning and ending with letter C on Graph A, work 25 sts Pattern St; work a)18 -b)21 -c)23 -d)25 sts Rev.St.St. a), -b), -c) & -d) Working increased sts in Rev.St.St, increase 1 st at each edge every 8 rows: 10 times [a) 81 -b) 87 -c) 91 -d) 95 sts].
When sleeve measures 11", shape armhole: bind off at each edge every 2 rows: a) 6 sts 1 time; 4 sts 1 time; 10 sts 1 time; bind off rem 41 sts -b) 6 sts 1 time; 5 sts 1 time; 11 sts 1 time; bind off rem 43 sts -c) 7 sts 1 time; 5 sts 1 time; 11 sts 1 time; bind off rem 45 sts -d) 7 sts 1 time; 5 sts 1 time; 12 sts 1 time; bind off rem 47 sts.
FlNlSHlNG:
Sew shoulder, side and sleeve seams. With crochet hook, work 1 row single crochet and 1 row Backwards Crochet around neck edge. For button loop, insert crochet hook into right front edge at neckline. Work 1 sc, ch 8, skip 2 sts of front band, sc in next st, fasten off and weave in al1 ends. Sew button to left front.
