MOTH ORCHID SHAWLby Shui Kuen Kozinski

The Phalaena flower resembles a moth in flight, and for this reason is also known as a Moth Orchid. This triangular shawl is worked top-down in two mirror-imaged sections. The Blueberry Lace motif is from Knitted Lace of Estonia (p.137) by Nancy Bush, and the shawl is finished with 2 repeats of the Luna Moth border. Five-stitch nupps were added between two yarnovers, giving the finished shawl an Estonian lace effect.
