Measurements:
Approximately 17" wide by 88" long, including fringe
Materials:
- 8 balls of Needful Yarns Lana Gatto Aton
- 5.0mm (US 8) straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
- Yarn needle
- Sturdy cardboard, 10" x 10"
- 4.0mm (USF/5) crochet hook, used for fringe only
Gauge:
17 sts = 4" over pattern
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cast on 89 stitches loosely.
Knit 5 rows.
Pattern row 1 (WS): K3, p83, k3.
Pattern row 2: K3, *yo, k4, sl1, k2tog, psso, k4, yo, k1; rep from * 6 more times, yo, k4, sl1, k2tog, psso, k4, yo, k3.
Rep rows 1 and 2 for desired length. Sample was worked over approximately 350 pattern rows.
Knit 5 rows.
Cast off. Sew in ends and block stole.
Finishing:
Create fringe by winding yarn around cardboard and cutting along one edge to create 20" lengths of yarn. Fold 5 lengths of yarn in half, insert hook into desired stitch along cast-on edge, pull up a loop from center of folded lengths of yarn, pull ends through loop to tighten, adjusting ends.
Abbreviations:
k - knit, p - purl, rep - repeat, sl 1, k2tog, psso - slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit together next 2 stitches, pass slipped stitch over (2 stitches decreased), yo - yarn over.
